Our Service and Community Activities

We participate in a variety of Community Service, Fellowship, Family and Youth activities throughout the year. Our work centers around Grange values and seeks to improve our local communities and ourselves as individuals. Some projects are in coordination with State and National Grange. Others are causes that we hold dear at the local level. You are welcome to join us as a fellow Granger and work alongside us. Take a look at the projects we are currently working on. Subordinate Grange Meeting

The regular meeting of the East Chatham Grange is held on the second Friday of the month at the East Chatham Fire House. Here, Grangers work on community service, host special speakers and provide educational content. The first four degrees are conferred at this level of membership. Pomona Grange Meeting

Pomona meetings are held quarterly, at various Granges, on the second Saturday of the month. Grangers work on county-level business at Pomona, including legislative action, reports on subordinate activities and contests. The fifth degree is conferred at the Pomona level. Annual New York State Session

At the State Session, grangers from across the state gather to deliberate on resolutions and set policy for the upcoming year. Officers are elected biennially and a budget is presented and approved by the delegate body. The sixth degree is conferred on Saturday Night. Columbia County sends two delegates.
